Todd Chrishley defends daughter Savannah over 'gold digger' accusations
Todd Chrisley isn't letting online critics have the last word about his daughter Savannah's marriage — and his mother, Nanny Faye, had a rather cheeky take on the whole controversy.
Savannah, 29, has faced accusations of being a “gold digger” since news broke that she secretly married businessman Jason Galanis, 56, and is expecting their first child together.
Their 27-year age gap has also fueled plenty of online chatter.
But Jason's financial history has added another layer to the debate. He served federal prison time in 2020 after being linked to multimillion-dollar securities fraud shemes.
President Donald Trump commuted his sentence in March 2025.
During an October 30 episode of his Two Sons and Me podcast, Todd, 57, pushed back against the claims about his daughter.
"There were comments today in the press about Savannah's ring, the size of it, that she is engaged to a billionaire because she's a gold digger," he said.
Nanny Faye wasn't exactly scandalized by the accusation.
"Oh, good. I don't blame her. I'd dig, too. If I knew one and I stood a chance like her, I'd be digging 24/7, till I got him," she joked.
Todd laughed before adding his own punchline, saying that if Savannah really were a gold digger, "it would have helped out if she would have started digging when I was paying all these legal fees."
He then argued that critics were overlooking Savannah's own business success, pointing to her clothing line, cosmetics and Good Girl RX.
"What do they think this girl has done her whole life, from the time that the cameras started rolling? What do they think she did with her clothing line, with her cosmetics, that she didn't make money? What do they think about Good Girl RX? How do they think this woman lives?" he asked.
