Robin Williams' kids revive his social media page 12 years after death

Robin Williams’ Instagram page is active again after 12 years!

On Monday, August 17, a post appeared on the late actor’s Instagram with a message written over a black background. The post was made by his three kids, Zak, Zelda, and Cody Williams, who revealed they have revived the page so that fans around the world can continue to honour his legacy.

“As we recognize what would be our Dad’s 75th year, we’re grateful to see new generations discovering his work while longtime fans continue to celebrate the joy he brought into their lives,” the message read.

“As technology evolves, we want this to be a safe, trusted place where the stories, photos, videos, and memories shared reflect his legacy with authenticity, warmth, and care. This is our way of sharing his unique talent and humor with the world, including the moments that made us and so many of you laugh, as we remember our Dad’s extraordinary life and work. He continues to inspire us and delight people all over the world,” the message concluded.

The last post on Williams' Instagram page was a birthday tribute to Zelda on July 31, 2014 — just two weeks before Williams' death at age 63.

Williams welcomed his eldest son Zak with his first wife, Valerie Velardi in 1983. The former spouses divorced in 1988, and Williams married Marsha Garces that following year. Williams and Garces welcomed daughter Zelda later that same year and son Cody in 1991, before divorcing in 2010.
