Madonna appeals for return of missing Coachella costume
Madonna’s headline grabbing Coachella comeback has taken an unexpected turn.
The 67-year-old icon revealed that the vintage outfit she wore during her surprise appearance with Sabrina Carpenter has gone missing.
She has also offered a reward for its safe return.
On Friday night, Madonna electrified the festival stage in a purple corset bodysuit, stockings, lavender gloves, and a Gucci jacket, the same ensemble she famously wore during her first Coachella performance in 2006.
But shortly after the set, which featured hits like Vogue and Like a Prayer alongside a new track from her upcoming album Confessions II, the pieces disappeared.
Madonna took to Instagram to update her fans.
“These aren’t just clothes, they are part of my history,” Like A Virgin hitmaker wrote.
“Other archival items from the same era went missing as well. I’m hoping and praying that some kind soul will find these items and reach out to my team. I’m offering a reward for their safe return.”
The incident came as anticipation builds for Confessions II, her 15th studio album, slated for release on July 3.
The project is a sequel to her Grammy winning 2005 record Confessions on a Dance Floor, which produced global hits like Hung Up and Sorry.
