'Heartbroken' Perrie Edwards mourns tragic loss of her 'first baby'

Perrie Edwards is mourning the loss of a beloved family member.

On Wednesday, August 19, the former Little Mix star announced that her first-ever pet dog, Hatchi, has crossed the rainbow bridge after 14 years together. In a heartfelt Instagram tribute, Edwards, 33, called Hatchi her “first baby” who was by her side “through every chapter and every milestone.”

“We lived so much life together. You came on tour with Little Mix, travelled the world with me, came on our holidays to Portugal, sat in the best restaurants eating steak like the little prince you were,” Edwards reflected.

The mom-of-two shared that her “heart is completely broken,” noting that her life feels “emptier” now.

“Sleep peacefully my beautiful boy. I hope wherever you are, there’s endless steaks waiting for you,” Edwards continued. “I will love you and miss you forever, Hatchi. My first baby, my fur baby, my little companion. A piece of my heart went with you,” the tribute concluded.

The post included heartwarming pictures and videos of Hatchi, who was a tan Pomeranian. Several pictures showed Hatchi with Edwards’ kids: four-year-old son Axel and daughter Alanis Valentine, who was born in January this year.

Fans who had known and grown to love Hatchi over the years flooded the comments section with their support and favourite memories of the little tyke.
