Britney Spears pays tribute to son Jayden after saying she 'failed' as a mom

Britney Spears is a proud mom, even if she isn’t perfect.

On Saturday, August 15, the princess of pop took to her Instagram to share a tribute to her youngest son, Jayden James. Sharing a picture of the 19-year-old, Spears wrote in the caption, “Mine,” along with a dove emoji and three star emojis.

Spears, 44, shares Jayden with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. The pair — who divorced in 2006 after just two years together — share another son, Sean Preston, who is a year older than Jayden.

The children moved to Hawaii with their father in 2023, but Hayden reunited with his mother in Los Angeles in November 2024. Spears has since been sharing glimpses of her close bond with Jaydenon Instagram, proudly sharing videos of him playing the piano and pictures of the mother-son duo vacationing together.

But earlier this month, the Toxic hitmaker grew emotional as she lamented her “mistakes” in a social media post.

Spears recalled an instance where her kids were “secretly taken to a beach by my mom and dad.”

“I wondered why I wasn’t a part of their cool secret outings,” she reflected. “I felt demoralized to live in a country where it was accepted for people like my mom and dad to live secret lives with my children.”

The Grammy-winner revealed that when she recently found out one of her sons “didn’t personally believe in God,” she felt like she “failed as a mother.”

“I wanna tell my kids and people in general that I’m sorry for my mistakes in the past,” she added.
