Trump says Vance-Rubio 2028 presidential ticket would be ‘unbeatable’

US President Donald has backed Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for the 2028 presidential ticket, calling this team remarkable and very hard to beat.

Speaking on a podcast interview with Pod Force One with Miranda Devine on Wednesday, Trump praised both Vance and Rubio regarding the 2028 ticket, citing, “Vance-Rubio would be a great team and I like them together.”

"I would think that JD and Marco as a team would be very hard to beat. It's an interesting, human thing, the human equation. So I watch them together, they get along great," he added.

Despite efforts by Vance and Marco Rubio to downplay their 2028 presidential ambitions, Donald Trump continues to fuel speculation regarding his successor.

Both men have been alternating appearances at White House briefings to defend the administration against a slew of inquiries, particularly regarding the increasingly unpopular war in Iran.

The recent remarks coming from the President not only reshapes GOP succession talks but also indicates the next Republican dream team.

Although the official 2028 presidential race has yet to begin, behind-the-scenes manoeuvring is already ongoing. Democrats have not yet established or nominated front-runner to succeed Donald Trump.

But several potential candidates are positioning themselves for what is expected to be a highly competitive contest.
