Madonna reveals how daughter Lourdes helped heal their relationship

Madonna shared a rare insight into how she and her daughter Lourdes Leon healed their bond with songwriting.

During a recent interview with Interview magazine, the Queen of Pop revealed that her eldest child approached her for a songwriting collaboration and the team-up soon turned into a meaningful move for the mother-daughter bond.

Madonna shared, "For instance, the song I wrote with my daughter, Lola. She approached me about writing a song together as a way to heal our relationship."

"It was a really important moment, and it solidified the idea that now is the time to make this record," Madonna added.

The sweet confession unveiled the bond between Madonna and Lourdes, 29, whom she shares with fitness trainer Carlos Leon.

Lourdes paved her own path in the creative industry as a model, musician, and performer, and has collaborated with her popstar mom a few times.

This came after Lourdes released a new song, T-shirt, a ballad on losing yourself in a relationship.

She wrote on her social media, "A song about a relationship where I completely lost myself and felt haunted at every turn by lingering, unwelcome spirits.

Lourdes continued, "They seemed to make homes wherever I went, dwelling in every corner of my mind. What a gift it is to channel those emotions through art, to process them and finally set them free. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this one to life."

It is pertinent to mention that Madonna is mom to six kids: two biological kids, Lourdes and Rocco; and four adopted kids, David, Mercy, Stella, and Estere.
