Lady Gaga's makeup brand hit with online criticism

Lady Gaga’s beauty brand Haus Labs is back in the spotlight – but not for the reasons the Bad Romance singer would want.

The cosmetics line is facing criticism after beauty influencer Golloria George called out its liquid new liquid bronzer range for what she described as a serious lack of inclusivity.

The influencer, who has previously supported the brand, did not hold back after testing the deepest shades sent to her.

In a recent Instagram post, George said she was sent the “three darkest shades” of the new collection – but what followed was less glow-up, more mismatch. After swatching them on her skin, she poined out how far off the tones were.

“Gaga, Haus Labs, you guys usually do not miss… Did something change on the team?”

She added that she was genuinely confused, especially given her past positive experience with the brand’s complexion products.

In her caption, she doubled down, writing: “and no one is bigger than the program. not me, NOT haus labs, NOT any brand. do better @hauslabs.”

The post quickly sparked conversation across beauty circles, with users debating shade inclusivity in celebrity-led cosmetic brands.

As of now, neither Lady Gaga nor Haus Labs has publicly responded to the criticism.

Haus Labs, launched is September 2014, built its reputation on bold, experimental beauty – but this latest controversy suggests even star-powered brands are not immune to pressure when it comes to representation in beauty aisles.

For now, the question hanging over the brand is simple: will they expand the range – or answer the backlash first?
