Miley Cyrus spills dreamy detail about Maxx Morando’s proposal
Miley Cyrus dished on some rare insights into her engagement, revealing which "special" place Maxx Morando popped the question.
In a recent appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday, the Flowers singer gushingly showed off her ring, revealing that her personal and professional lives feel “perfectly aligned”.
“I am not easy to surprise because I love to control every situation, and I had completely surrendered,” Miley said, recalling her proposal. “I actually had never gone to Japan, which I did that purposefully. I wanted one place in the world that could be my special place that I saved for me.”
The three-time Grammy-winning artist went on to say, “Me and Maxx have been together for four years, and it’s very obvious the drastic amount of growth that I’ve had in those four years.
“You just want to dream the biggest you can, and you want to have someone by your side that always tells you, ‘You can do it’," she gushed.
The news of Miley and Maxx's engagement first broke on December 1, when the pair stepped out for the Avatar: Fire and Ash world premiere in Los Angeles, with Miley flashing a diamond ring confirming the news.
Cyrus was also spotted wearing her engagement ring around mid-November, as per Deux Moi. She was also seen with her diamond ring in the snaps of her 33rd birthday post on Instagram on November 23.
Shortly after the news of their engagement broke, Miley spoke to People during the promotion of the new film Avatar: Fire and Ash, featuring her song Dream as One.
"The detail that I can share is that for us, our privacy and us kind of keeping it small has been something that I've been astounded that I've actually been able to have and being able to kind of have more choice," she said of her engagement. "I think it's also being older, being more protective of what I'm open to sharing."
