Paris Hilton initiates unique way to support LA fire survivors
Paris Hilton launched an emergency fund to support those who have been knocked out of places because of the devastating blazes.
The Stars are Blind singer announced the news through Instagram that she had founded an emergency fund through her nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact.
The 43-year-old celebrity DJ penned an emotional caption, saying, “My heart is with everyone impacted by the devastating fires here in LA.”
The mother-of-two added, “As a mom, I can't imagine the pain and fear of not having a safe place for your babies so I'm launching an emergency fund through my nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact to support displaced families with young children.”
Before concluding, the 43-year-old socialite added, “I'm starting with a personal contribution of $100,000, and will be matching additional dollars raised up to $100,000 more. I am looking for others to donate and match alongside me to do our part!”
According to the hotel heiress, she also plans to volunteer in person this weekend.
Paris Hilton's donation comes after she lost her own Malibu home in Los Angeles fire.
Hilton is one of the victims among up to 100,000 residents of the City of Angels, who were forced to flee their homes in the wake of devastating wildfires raging across Southern California.
